At the ancestral house garden, the Jamson fruit (Karamba) trees were laden with reddish and white mixed shining fruits and were giving such a beautiful sight. I still recall how both me and my brother used to pluck those jamson fruits from the same tree when we were kids. Since the tree is old now, it has fallen to the ground but still, the tree produces fruits in plenty. Near our kitchen, also there is another jamson fruit tree which has grown recently but bears only a few fruits because the tree does not get plenty of sunshine into place.

I got a very good idea to make candied jamsons out of it. Actually, it is a unique fruit that has a unique sweet and sour flavour in them. Can be use as cake decoration since they look like candied cherries but with different strong flavour and also as a flavouring addition for milky puddings.These candied jamsons can be used by storing in tightly closed bottles for a few weeks. My clever brother started to make one of his delicious juices out of the ripened jamson fruits while I was making the candies. These ripened jamson fruits are so delicious with their reddish colour in them. It was my first time to taste such a tasty juice made out of these ripened jamson fruits thanks to my juice maestro who is a genius in making all kinds of fruit juices.

I mentioned that I would make a pudding to have it after lunch but I made it for the evening tea as it was made out of rice. This pudding was made by myself very frequently as the method is very easy but it's a top secret recipe came from my Grandmother from her Grandmother. This pudding is a favourite of my brother's and grandmother's too and it needs lots of fresh milk to make it. I garnished the pudding with dates and the previously made candied jamsons. My garnish itself enhanced the usual taste of the same pudding that I used to make before. I was so happy when I saw how my brother and grandmother truly enjoyed the pudding this time.
