There are four stages for this hike. It's best to complete it in 4 days. We combined the first two stages in day one due to limited camping options at Hrafntinnusker, which made our first day quite challenging.

Stage 1: Landmannalaugar to Hrafntinnusker (13km)
Stage 2: Hrafntinnusker to Álftavatn (12km)
Stage 3: Álftavatn to Emstrur (16km)
Stage 4: Emstrur to Thorsmörk (15km)
