Life Of Pi

Arriving when 3D was still rising in the public conscience. It was a little different from other stereo fare in that it wasn't an action film but a philosophical dialog. Albeit a very pretty one.

It won accolades and awards. There was lots of press at the time regarding the bankruptcy of the company responsible for the effects. Though the company did manage to stay alive until 2020. They had previously created the lion for The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe which is what led Ang Lee to ask them to do this movie.
