有別於M+希克藏品首展「從大革命到全球化」中以主流社會背景或按時間順序的論述，這次展覽關注中國九十年代急速轉型的社會和經濟發展中，藝術家對文化身分的思考及對新時代的困惑。「別傳」作為M+希克藏品三次展覽中的第二場，將聚焦躁動的視覺圖像、不確定的意義、對無常的迷戀以及對傳統的另類詮釋，通過另類視角展現中國當代藝術獨特的審美和表達方式。

Distinct from the socio-political interpretative framework or the chronological narrative of the inaugural exhibition of the ‘M+ Sigg Collection—From Revolution to Globalisation’, ‘Another Story’  surveys how artists reconsider their cultural identities and express their uncertain state of being during China's rapid modernisation in the 1990s. The exhibition brings together a multitude of works that exhibit qualities of overflowing visuals, ambiguous meanings, obsessions with transiency, and traditional interpretation. ‘Another Story’ is the second of three planned exhibitions of the M+ Sigg Collection. It offers a different perspective on understanding contemporary Chinese art and foregrounds its unique visual language through the lens of artists who strive for self-presence.
