oogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant was one of the very first professional wrestlers to use entry music. When Jimmy turn from heel to face in the old Mid-Atlantic territory back in the early 1980's, he suggested the moniker “The Boogie Woogie Man” to the Booker then, Ole Anderson, then suggested the ground breaking idea, enter to music. While Jimmy had already recorded an MYV style video and original song he wrote, “Son of a Gypsy” he opted for the popular at the time Manhattan Transfer song, “The Boy from New York City” Well, the rest is history, every wrestler today enters the ring to music and some 35 years later, this video shows guest referee, Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant, doing his classic entry into the ring at Pure pro Wrestling.
