Learn how to construct a simple survival shelter in the Australian wilderness where materials are limited. Our sustainable approach by using fallen logs and sticks, as well as selectively choosing a small amount of stringybark off each tree provides minimal impact on the environment.

Supporting logs are laid tightly together to form the framework of a protective roof. Pine needles are used to provide insulation and are stuffed in gaps between logs. Strips of bark are then placed on to hold insulation down and make for a watertight roof.
