Learn how to construct a simple survival shelter in the Australian wilderness where materials are limited. We aim to make an effective shelter that will keep you warm and dry if you are to find yourself in a survival situation. Our sustainable approach by using fallen logs and sticks, as well as selectively choosing a small amount of stringybark off each tree provides minimal impact on the environment.

Supporting logs are laid tightly together to form the framework of a protective roof. Pine needles are used to provide insulation and are stuffed in gaps between logs. Strips of bark are then placed on to hold insulation down and make for a watertight roof.
