Gary Snyder’s “Practice of the Wild” is one of the most influential books about the environment of the last 50 years. Snyder will be speaking on this and reading his new poems. He was awarded the Bollingen Prize for poetry in 1997 and the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1975, and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.
