I'm using white granite contact paper on my kitchen countertops! This is a super easy DIY method that is renter friendly and removable (as I learned in my un-making over video). I'm applying this diy contact paper over my dated brown laminate counters because the existing counters are dark and it bothers me that I can't see when they're dirty 🙃. I also just really wanted to brighten my rental kitchen counters and this granite contact paper really does the trick! I love that they're temporary but also if you take care of them, they can last for quite a long time! Also, this time I used a special trick for applying the contact paper that worked perfectly (specifically how to get a crisp rounded line around the sink).
