Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a 1982 coming-of-age film directed by Amy Heckerling and written by Cameron Crowe, based on the book of the same name. The movie follows a group of teenagers at a high school in Southern California, as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence, relationships, and growing up.

The story is told through the eyes of several characters, including Stacy Hamilton (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a naïve freshman who becomes interested in dating, and her older brother Brad (Judge Reinhold), who struggles to find his place in the world after graduating high school. Other memorable characters include Jeff Spicoli (Sean Penn), a laid-back surfer dude, and Linda Barrett (Phoebe Cates), a popular girl who catches the attention of many of the boys at school.
