This a 19.5 mile run with about 14.5 miles being continuous whitewater. The level was 49 inches on the putin bridge in the morning when we put on and 50.5 inches after we ran shuttle. The South Fork Salmon River gauge was 5.53 feet or 2,030 cfs. The rapids are all shown in order and I could not find names of rapids. This run would be an absolute classic without all the wood. It was scary at this flow not knowing where the next bad piece of wood would be. Any lower and there would have been several more portages for wood that we just barely went over. There is a trail that runs all the way down the left side of the river which makes for fairly easy portaging and scouting. Doing the Secesh into the South Fork Salmon makes for a much easier shuttle but portaging and scouting on the Secesh would be a pain with a loaded boat. First few minutes of the video are the warmup and the last few minutes are the paddle out with one big rapid at the very end.
