I got the opportunity to visit a dairy farm in Ireland, which is just not something I could pass up. I told the family to have some jobs ready for me to help out with, which they took me up on. Gotta earn your keep, right? The first job I helped out with was rebuilding a concrete block wall that young David accidentally backed into with a tractor. This wall is right in front of Granny's house, so it was important to do a good job and get it fixed up right. I also spent a couple mornings milking the cows, which was a real learning experience for me. Lastly, it was all hands on deck as the whole family and others "shifted" some steers down the middle of the country road from one pasture to another. This was a trip I'll never forget and I loved getting to meet and spend time with this amazing family.
