After accurate reseraches, I've finally unearthed Richard Benson's birth certificate, proving beyond any reasonable doubt that Benson is indeed of British origins! His parents were an Englishman, Robert Benson, and an Italian woman, Marcella C. Giammona! In this first instalment of a series aimed at gathering all the available information about Richrd Benson's obscure biography, I describe the childhood and youth of our beloved guitar hero (1955-1978), unveiling original content, like the Benson-RAI (italian state broadcaster) contract of 1971 and various old newspaper articles. I also try to shed light on Richard's family tree, focusing on his paternal grandparents. In the last part of the video, I suggest ideas about poets and writers who, in my opinion, have influenced Benson's poetry.
