In the tail end of the summer, I crashed my black 2000 Discovery 2, and unfortunately it was deemed unrepairable. After insurance had settled, I was on the hunt for my next project. - meet Essie, a 2004 Land Rover Discovery Series II. It was originally equipped with the 4.6L V8, but the motor required major repairs. Thankfully, I had purchased back the wrecked 2000 D2 from the insurance company and stripped it of its tires, lift and engine, as well as anything else usable in spare parts. I removed the 4.6L and installed my spare 4.0L engine as well as swapped the ECU/BCU. There are some emissions related things to take care of, but it’s running and almost ready for the trails.
