For over two years we were unable to return to Malaysia when we left in July of 2020. This was one food joint, we couldn't wait to revisit and something we spoke of almost daily. The staff, the food and the prices were something out of this world and something we knew we had to come back for.

This particular style of dish is a Malaysian classic and it can differ in each location, region and the particular place you're eating at. We ate this dish all over Malaysia across cities such as Ipoh to Penang and more in the year that we were here, almost every day this was our go to lunch - this hole in the wall type place hidden down an alley can be safely admitted as one of the best spots for it in KL. This a no nonsense type of place, no frills, just top notch food at street food prices.

What makes this dish so special? It encapsulates so much of Malaysian food onto one plate.

Anyway, we traverse the backalleys of Bukit Bintang to our favourite spot in the whole of KL - we've never had a chance to film this place and figured it finally deserved it's rightful place, it might not have the glitz and the glam of 80+ dishes or 20+ dishes, but it's definitely still got the title of the best lunch in KL!
