Diese Woche reisen wir mit dem Camper und den Kindern in Irak (Kurdistan) weiter, und wir schauen mal, wie nach Irak reisen in 2021 so ist, und wie Irak die Corona Krise schafft.

Nach Irak reisen mit Kindern ist nicht etwas, was viele Leute machen. Wir wollten aber absolut probieren, mit den Kindern nach Irak (Kurdistan) zu reisen, und haben unseren treuen Camper mitgenommen. Wie der Grenzübergang zwischen Türkei und Irak war, habt ihr letzte Woche schon gesehen. Diese Woche zeigen wir euch erste Eindrücke von Irak (Kurdistan): Wie ist es, nach Irak in 2021 zu reisen? Wie ist es, mit Kindern nach Irak zu reisen? Wie ist das Corona Virus und die Covid-19 Massnahmen in Irak? Wie sieht die Irakische Gastfreundschaft aus?

Wir fuhren von der Irakisch-Türkische Grenze endlich Irak rein, und fuhren an Zakho vorbei. Erster Stopp war Duhok, wo wir den Duhok Damm besucht haben und durch die Stadt gefahren sind. Von dort ging es weiter nach Amedi, eine Stadt auf einen Felsvorsprung mit unglaublichem Ausblick. Die Stadt und vor allem die Umgebung war gut besucht, und wir haben uns zwischen den Locals vermischt. Am nächsten Tag ging es Richtung Gali Sherana, und da war wirklich was los!

This week we continue our travel by camper and with our children in Iraq (Kurdistan), and we will see how traveling in Iraq is in 2021, and how Iraq manages the Corona crisis.

Traveling to Iraq with children is not something that a lot of people do. But we absolutely wanted to try to travel to Iraq (Kurdistan) with the children and took our camper with us. You saw how the border crossing between Turkey and Iraq was last week. This week we show you first impressions of Iraq (Kurdistan): What is it like to travel to Iraq in 2021? What is it like to travel to Iraq with kids? How is the Corona Virus and the Covid-19 measures in Iraq? What is Iraqi hospitality like?

We finally drove into Iraq from the Iraqi-Turkish border, and drove past Zakho. First stop was Duhok, where we visited the Duhok dam and drove through the city. From there we went on to Amedi, a town on a rocky promontory with an incredible view. The city, and especially the surrounding area, was well attended and we mixed up with the locals. The next day we went to Gali Sherana, and there was really something going on!
