E1 / V67 The best Mayan Ruins: Tikal in Guatemala: Tikal is one of the largest archaeological sites of the Mayan civilization and former state capital. The Tikal National Park was declared a World Heritage Site in 1979. It is huge, so you should arrive early. I was there for 5 hours and I couldn't see everything. Without a doubt the Mayan complex that I liked the most.
