I did this hike recently. No doubt the views are breathtaking and I also like doing the lake hikes. I did this hike expecting to see the beautiful larches of the season. But I was surprised to see the season's first snow, storm and rain altogether on that day. Though a bit of sunlight tried to come out of the clouds at some point for a shorter period, which added beauty to my journey. Still, it was an early larch time, otherwise last year it was fully turned larches by this time. Well, yes, this is nature.

However, overall, I loved my journey. The trail was covered in fresh snow, pin-drop silence in the mountains and breathtaking views- everything was mesmerizing even during an overcast day.
