The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report on the far-reaching impacts of global warming has raised major concerns that require urgent climate action from policy makers and climate-related agencies, as well as the private sector and other stakeholders. However, transitioning toward a low-carbon economy requires incentives to be put in place to encourage green initiatives and discourage greenhouse gas emissions.

The Asian Development Bank Institute and the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University, co-organized this webinar to facilitate solution-oriented discussions on these issues. The webinar includes three sessions that address (i) carbon pricing and carbon markets; (ii) country strategies on carbon pricing; and (iii) a discussion on global trends and European Union policies.
