I set out on a road trip along Canada's Sea-to-Sky Highway (British Columbia Highway 99) from Vancouver up to Whistler. The highway winds along the water, then heads inland into the beautiful rolling mountains and beside rivers and lakes. I was accompanied by my photographer sister, who wanted to visit the area to practice shooting different buildings and landscapes than she can find in central Georgia. The drive took us through towns like Lion's Bay, Squamish, and Britannia Beach, through native Squamish lands, and to a thrilling array of waterfalls, scenic vistas, and curious Canadian surprises. And the July weather was cool (ish) and comfortable.
