Made using hickory that was pre- wire brushed I glued and nailed the wood onto and piece of plywood.
I used a table saw and cut at a 45 degree angle all the way around and used some of the spare pieces to use as support for the sides.
I water popped it to make the stain more consistant (especially) on hardwood stained it with a dura seal classic grey sealer.
I applied three coats of water base finish.
finally the legs were taken from a pallet and are white oak. Those I stain black using old masters Spanish oak, i sealed the legs with a oil based sealer and added an additional 2 coats of water base on top.
