Buying cheap wine at Ravangla Market and finding the best place to eat in Ravangla, South Sikkim. In this video we reach Ravangla after a journey from Pelling by car and stop at Ravangla Market for some lunch before going to Buddha park. Here as we search for a place to eat we found that Ravangla Market is much bigger than that in Pelling and here, there are many restaurants spread throughout the market where you get varieties of food options. As we are short on time we went to a place called Florida Restaurant for our lunch. The food served here was simple and tasty and the portions and food prices were also reasonable. After lunch we went out to the market again for buying some Sikkim Wine. Sikkim is known for producing good quality wines which are also very cheap. The wine prices start from a mere INR 40 and there is something for every budget. We found that there are many liquor and off shops selling wines, most of which are locally made here in Sikkim. They have different types of flavours available but the one we liked and would recommend is the peach flavoured wine. The peach wine starts from INR 50 per bottle (200 ml) and is a good gift to take back home even as a souvenir for your friends or family.

About Ravangla: Ravangla or Rawangla or Ravongla is a small tourist town situated at an elevation of 8000 ft in South Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is connected by state highway to other major towns in the state and lies between Pelling and Gangtok. It acts as the starting point for the trek to Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary. It is approximately 65 km away from the state capital Gangtok and 120 km away from Siliguri, West Bengal.
