KSWCFC is first of its kind initiative in India developed for the betterment of economically backward members of forward communities. Being an opening move, Sammunnathi has come up with numerous novel programmes for the beneficiaries. The corporation that started its work during 2013-14 financial year has commenced various scholarships, competitive exam training assistance and skill development. The major schemes of KSWCFC are:

Vidya Samunnathi (Educational Schemes)
Samramba Samunnathi (Interest Incentive schemes)
Naipunya Samunnathi (Skill Development Schemes)
Bhavana Samunnathi (Housing Schemes)

VIDYA SAMUNNATHI (Educational Schemes):

Under this scheme, the students of economically backward forward communities will get educational scholarships and competitive assistance for their studies.

Scholarships:

Started in the financial year 2013-14, under this scheme scholarships will be given to students studying from high school level to post graduation. Special scholarships will be given to students studying professional courses like CA/ICWA/CS and those studying in IIT, IIM, NIT and similar National Institutes.

How to apply?

Applicants should be from non-reservation forward community and a resident of Kerala.
Annual income of the family should be less than 2 lakhs based on all sources.
Only online applications are accepted. You may logon to www.kswcfc.org for the same
Applicants must have a Bank account in any recognised bank.

Coaching Assistance Scheme:

Financial assistance will be provided to economically backward students from forward communities who are undergoing training for various competitive exams like Medical/Engineering entrance coaching, Civil Service/Bank/PSC coaching and the like.

An amount of Rs. 10,000 will be granted to 840 on going higher secondary students and those who completed higher secondary (before 2 years). These students can apply for medical/engineering coaching assistance scheme of Samunnathi.

Educated people who have acquired basic qualifications for the competing exams in Bank, UPSC and PSC will get an amount of Rs. 6000 for 700 people as financial assistance under this scheme.

Besides this, separate financial assistance will be given to students preparing for the Civil Service exams. An amount of Rs. 15,000 for Preliminary, Rs. 25,000 for Main exams and Rs. 30,000 for Interview will be granted accordingly.

How to apply?

Applicants should be from non-reservation forward community and a resident of Kerala.

Applicants can select their centres for coaching, but the centre’s standard for the same will be decided by the corporation.
Applicants who applied for financial aid last year are not eligible for applying.
