PPE is not a one size fits all! How many times have you heard of people having safety boots that are too wide, trousers that are too long, gloves that are too big and glasses & masks that are ill-fitting? Poor fitting PPE can prevent people from effectively carrying out their jobs and importantly, can be unsafe.
The manufacture and provision of inclusive PPE could be part of the solution to attracting and retaining a more diverse workforce into manufacturing and related sectors.
In this webinar, our Manufacturing Skills Academy Director, Stewart McKinlay, is joined by presenters from two companies highly involved in this field:
· Mask Logic, who manufacture individual fitted face masks and will discuss the process and effectiveness of these.
· She Wear – an Australian company specialising in the manufacture and supply of work boots and work shoes for women.
We’ll also be joined by Equate Scotland who work to make a positive difference for women working in, entering, or studying STEM. Equate has more than 15 years of experience working with women students and professionals, employers, academia, and policymakers to effect change and make STEM a more inclusive workplace. They will share some of the work they are currently doing in that space and explain how organisations can get involved.
Who should join:
You should join this webinar if you are:
· an employer who appreciates providing ‘fit for purpose’ PPE for all its employees.
· Interested in hearing about the advanced in person specific PPE.
