'Old' by Danny Brown is one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.
Chances are that Danny Brown is a rapper you either adore, or don't truly understand yet. And for good reason— he's an interesting character— someone who is able to simultaneously be nerdy and street (if I'm allowed to broadcast that). Because of this, he's one of few acts competent enough to riff on both indie head and gangster rap tropes and ideas. In this video, I break down what makes his 2013 masterpiece 'Old' such a singular work of art and the genius of Danny Brown.
