In this video i will upgrade the VRAM of a GIGABYTE GTX 1050 from 2GB to 4GB. For this, i harvest the memory from a dead PS4 mainboard (SAC-001), reball the donor chips and solder them to the card. Afterwards, the memory straps need to be adjusted in order for the card to work properly.
If done correctly, this mod can double the framerate in certain games, and give this aging card a much needed performance boost.
