Bubbles, the muffin-loving mail-pony, finds herself concerned about her very close friend’s mental health and recent reclusion. They’re to meet for the first time in a few weeks at Ponyville High to attend prom together. They dance together, and she experiences abounding feelings and emotions swirling about her head and heart. What a lovely friendship, how she can find so much comfort in a friend like that. She finds herself constantly focusing on and overanalyzing social cues in an effort to understand and comfort her friend. She drifts in and out of self-consciousness, sometimes living in the moment, and sometimes worrying about how she looks.

She didn’t realize that photo would get posted everywhere. So when she got that text from her friend the following morning, you could only imagine what they might say. Wonder who the friend is? What they ended up saying? Are they okay? It’s so hard to tell. They’re often so quiet and reserved. Bubbles has always wondered why they’re like that.
