La lluvia se alejó un poco y Spa Francorchamps recibió un día bastante frenético, aunque sin incidencias mayores, en el inicio de la ronda 14 de la F1. Las prácticas en las Ardenas comenzaron con Mclaren retomando donde lo habían dejado y un Verstappen, que ya se confirmó cambió motor, fue quien por ahora más se acercó a la pelea con los de Woking.
