I got my dad's old gen unit out of the garage today to see if I could get it running. Surprisingly, a new plug, good carburetor and settling bowl cleaning and point adjustment was all it really needed. I soldered a hole in the gas tank, but looks like I still have a joint leaking somewhere. I'm really happy with it because I know it is the first time in about 40 years that it has ran.
