Iifukudenji Temple on Mt. Ise is where En no Gyoja (a sorcerer) retreated to a huge rock cave to train for 100 days in 701.

The top of Mt. Ise is not particularly high at 390m above sea level, but it is not an easy journey, with steep rocks standing in the way.
