We are in the south of Tuscany in Italy: between Siena and Grosseto we travel to hot springs at Saturnia, rolling hills with olive groves and cypress avenues. In the Maremma region we will visit small villages of yellow tuff like Pitigliano. Tamina Kallert shows us the highlights of Tuscany in this dreamlike cultural landscape. You dive into the mysterious world of the Etruscans, the "Tusci", who settled here 3,500 years ago and who gave their name to Tuscany. She explores the "Serengeti of Tuscany", introduces the most beautiful spas, strolls through the Renaissance town of Pienza and enjoys music and wine in Montepulciano. And she meets people with exciting stories: the "Butteri", the keepers of the long-horned Maremma cattle, the "eco-fisherman" Paolo Fanciulli and the Wuppertal art historian Hella Nussbaum, who has fulfilled her dream of a "house in Tuscany".

A whiff of sulfur - bathing in the hot springs of Saturnia. It is bubbling under Tuscany: hot springs are bubbling up in many places. Tamina Kallert enjoys the free bathing fun in Saturnia's turquoise blue thermal water. At the Cascate del Muliono, almost 40 degrees warm sulfuric water shoots out of the rock and flows into natural pools that are connected by small waterfalls. Pitigliano - the town looks like a huge sandcastle: the old town center is enthroned on a 300 meter high base made of yellow tuff. Tamina Kallert strolls through one of the most beautiful villages in Tuscany, where history from the Etruscans to the Medici comes alive. She experiences pure Italian lifestyle and enjoys the breathtaking view.

A day at sea with Paolo Fanciulli: Paolo Fanciulli is a fisherman - and is committed to ecologically correct fishing. Tamina Kallert goes out to sea with the inventor of "fishing tourism", learns a lot about the diverse sea creatures and tries "Italian sushi". Music and wine in Montepulciano: Montepulciano is situated on a hill surrounded by vineyards. The Palazzo Ricci is one of the most magnificent of the many Renaissance buildings. The Cologne University of Music runs the "European Academy for Music and Performing Arts" here. Tamina Kallert gets a guided tour with music and visits the historic wine cellar.
