Hello everyone and a warm welcome back from Zakinthos
Today we did set out to have a chilled day on the beach but as you can gather shortly after we set off ot soon changed to a hike up to the mineshaft!!..
So that we did, the trek started at the Cave bar, it's starts fairly easy with a few hills but after 30-40 minutes of walking it soon changes and becomes a bit harder and steeper.. If I am honest it took longer than I first thought but was well worth the almost 2 hours there a little less back down, but definitely worth the trip. We will be doing it again on our next visit but we will take supplies this time 😂
After an hour of walking it's becomes much more difficult, where you do have to watch every step bit you do gain altitude very quickly and before you know it you are at the top and enjoying the stunning views over Kalamkai and seeing all the way to Cameo Island and even Turtle island on a clear day.. 
I would advise of you are thinking of doing this trek that you take plenty of supplies and inform someone of where you are going and at what time. Be safe out there guys,
It was a fantastic walk the I would recommend as it was amazing to see the mining area after the landslide many years ago..
