पापलेट फ्राय करण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
• ६ मध्यम आकाराचे पापलेट
• कोथिंबीर
• १ कप बारीक रवा
• १/२ कप भाजलेलं तांदळाचं पीठ
• लाल तिखट
• हळद
• ३~४ आमसुलं पाण्यात भिजवून
• लसूण पाकळ्या
• १/४ कप किसलेलं सुकं खोबरं
• ७~८ पोपटी रंगाच्या मिरच्या
• चवीनुसार मीठ
• १/२ चमचा काळी मिरी
• आलं
• जरुरीनुसार पाणी
• लिंबाचा रस
• शॅलो फ्राय करण्यासाठी तेल

Let’s see how to make easy and delicious pomfret fry today. As the title says, it is a very easy and simple recipe. It is a treat for fish lovers. The method varies from place to place. Today, out special guest Ranjita will share her recipe of pomfret fry. It turns out nice and crispy. We are making the masala for it at home and believe me, it tastes just awesome. This recipe doesn’t need lot many fancy ingredients. You can easily make it from very few ingredients those are readily available in your pantry. We are stuffing the pomfret and then frying them.

Ingredients:
• 6 medium size Pomfret
• Coriander leaves
• 1 cup fine Rava / Semolina
• 1/2 cup roasted Rice flour
• 1 tsp Red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
• 3~4 Kokum petals soaked in water
• 8~10 Garlic cloves
• 1/4 cup grated dry Coconut
• 7~8 light Green chilies
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp black Peppercorns
• 1” chopped Ginger
• Water as needed
• Lemon juice
• Oil for shallow frying

Method:
• Blend coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, green chilies together into coarse paste in mixer.
• Add water and blend it together into fine paste.
• Take it out into a bowl and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, kokum-soaked water and mix
well.
• You can use kokum agal or lemon juice in place oh kokum-soaked water.
• Slit the pomfret horizontally and give few cuts on each side.
• Coat each pomfret well with this masala from all sides.
• Cover and let the pomfret marinate for about 30 minutes.
• Pound coriander leaves, green chilies, garlic, ginger, black peppercorns into coarse paste in
mortar and pestle.
• You can blend it in mixer if you want.
• Dry roast coconut on medium heat until it gets nice brown color and take it out into a dish.
• Mix the roasted coconut, pounded paste, rice flour, lemon juice and salt well together and fill this
stuffing in each pomfret.
• Mix rava, red chili powder, rice flour and salt well together and coat each stuffed pomfret well
from both sides with it.
• Heat up oil in a pan and place each pomfret in it.
• Fry the pomfret well from both sides.
• When pomfret is fried well from both sides, take it out and transfer it into a dish. Pomfret fry is
ready.
