I am so excited to present to you today the full documentary of „We are here in order to live - Living and thriving with Cystic Fibrosis“.

The first aim with this video is to help patients and their families around the world become inspired by how others manage life with CF, receive new ideas, get motivated and cultivate hope for their own futures.

The second goal is create awareness for the disease itself by showing what it actually means to live with a disease like CF, what the disease is and what precautions need to be taken and hereby inspire non-CFers to live more fully and appreciate life.

But the main goal with this film is to create awareness for the inequities in health care and therefore the social injustice that exists in too many countries around the world, the situation for CF affected people only serving as an example of this inequality. We want to spread the existing knowledge about the disease and show how it is treated in countries where patients do get adequate treatment. We also want to create a feeling of gratitude in those patients who are fortunate enough to live in the „richer“ countries, who receive the best care imaginable and all the newest medication. And mainly, we are calling upon the governments, the pharma industry, the politicians and the doctors who believe that CF patients (in certain countries) are lost causes.
