The idea is not to erase EVERY goal he has scored, the idea is to erase the goals he has scored that were decisive. And the conclusion, at the end of the video is scary but expected at the same time. We are not just over-reliant on Messi in our heads, but also in REALITY, on paper. This idea might be unrealistic because we can't specualte what would happen if a certain goal wouldn't occur, we could score more, or even concede more. SO, I decided to not take any games where his assists or his impact was seemingly essential for the win, as a balance. And i dont know about you but, I feel like there were many more games in La Liga where he has saved us, but ON paper we would've still won without his goals (remember: i did not consider assists or impactful performances as a game-saver; goals only, simple and on point).
