My mum uses this recipe since I was young. Her secret for a moist and flavourful butter cake is the butter. Watch the video to know which butter she uses.

// Ingredients
5 eggs / telur
1 egg yolk / telur kuning
220g castor sugar / gula kastor
190g cake flour / tepung kek
260g butter /mentega
1tsp baking powder / serbuk penaik
1tsp vanilla essence / esen vanila
50g condensed milk / susu pekat
25g cocoa powder / serbuk koko
50g hot water / air panas
Note on oven temp and baking time.
You have to know your oven. For my oven, my baking time and temperature for this cake are as follows:
First 10 mins – 160 deg C (top & bottom heat)
Next 10 mins – 150 deg C (top & bottom heat)
20th mins onwards – 150 deg C (bottom heat only)
