PARASMANI, the black and white classic, was musical fantasy drama directed by Babubhai Mistri, who is known as the pioneer of cinematic effects.The film was a hit. The film's music, by Laxmikant Pyarelal, remains a fantastic favourite. and was their first official release movie.
Ooi Maa Ooi Maa Yeh Kya Ho Gaya falls in the category of Bollywood folk dance.

The moves in the original 1963 dance number, sung by Lata Mangeshkar, added another shade to Helen's repertoire. The song has a special place in my heart as it made me the winner of probably the first dance reality TV show Boogie Woogie on Sony TV, judged by Javed Jaafri and Gulshan Grover. Wonderful memories (but that story is for another day)!
