The Mamanuca Islands are a volcanic archipelago and consist of approximately 20 islands and are a popular tourist destination. They have stunning coral sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and coral reefs. Their natural beauty has made them favourite among the film industry. The movie Castaway was filmed here as well as the long running television series Survivor. Mololo Island where Musket Cove is also forms part of the Mamanuca Islands. Today, we’d be sailing here to Navadra and Vanua Levu Islands, approximately 9 nautical miles south of the Yasawa Islands.

In December 2021 we moved aboard our sailboat Te Tāiko, a Chico 40. Tāiko is our floating home. She gives us the freedom to go anywhere the wind and weather allows. Our plan? We try not to make too many plans but we're currently in Fiji and will see where wind and sea will take us next. In the meantime, follow along with us as we navigate this lifestyle.
