This is a radio broadcast from either NPR, WGBH or WBGO of a John Scofield concert performed at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The band is a group of jazz-rock all-stars from that period that I haven't seen any other videos or recordings of, and frankly, I was surprised that this set hasn't already made its way onto YouTube. Berg and Jones were at that time, with Scofield, members of Miles Davis's band. The last tune of this set is a Scofield-authored tune that was a regular feature of Miles's concerts in the 1984-85 period, You're Under Arrest. The band is filled out by the under-appreciated (except by musicians) Don Grolnick, and Peter Erskine, who had left Weather Report in 1982 to join Steps Ahead.
