Using 5/8" all thread rods to install floating shelves has worked great for me! In this video, I use the same idea of spinning the rods into studs to hang a floating cabinet from a wall. It's useful in the shop for the countertop and drawer space it provides as well as clearance off of the floor. The process is simple and the installation of the desk seems solid. Time will tell!
