Mrs. Geetha Mohan Ram comes from a family of devotees that has been in Swami’s service for more than six decades. Her granduncle Sheshagiri Rao, was Swami’s personal attendant for more than 20 years. He was also the first priest at Prashanthi Nilayam when it was built in 1950. He came to Swami in 1943. Her father Dr. Padmanabhan, a renowned dental surgeon, was very dear to Swami and served Him in various organizational capacities at Whitefield, Bangalore till 2008. Many of you might recognize him as the person who walked behind Swami during darshansin Whitefield. Geetha's mother Kamala Padmanabhan was appointed by Swami to be the SSE coordinator for Karnataka state in India which she served with distinction for 25 years. She was specially chosen by Swami to be part of the original group that developed the first SSE (Bal Vikas) curriculum under the direction of Bhagawan Himself. Geetha's family was one of the nine families that started the first Akhanda bhajan in 1945 under Swami's direct guidance. They conducted this for 25 years, until Swami declared it into a global event.
