[ STEP ONE - Separate The Parents ]
If both parents are living in the same house, you must separate the father and mother of the litter during delivery. The mother of the puppies will get anxiety if they smell any male dogs in the same area.

[ STEP TWO - Move Mother To A Clean Bed ]
During delivery, there will be lots of blood and discharge from the mother. After the mother give birth, it is key to clean and dry the mother and all puppies with a towel. It is very important to keep them dry so puppies will not catch a cold. Place them to a new bed to rest.

[ STEP THREE - Feed Mother Warm Milk ]
Mom will be too exhausted to eat right after delivery, it is good to feed them warm milk so she can stay hydrated after giving birth.

[ STEP FOUR - Squeeze Out Mother Milk ]
Mother who is giving birth the first time may need your help to squeeze out the mother milk after birth. This will help to ensure puppies have the milk supply they need right away. Placing the puppy's head close to where they suppose to drink milk will help guide them where to find food after birth.

[ STEP FIVE - Monitor Puppies Overnight ]
The first night is critical and you may want to stay up and monitor puppies overnight. If they have any signs implications or symptoms of distress should be seen by a veterinarian immediately.

[ STEP SIX - Gender Reveal ]
Unlike Hoomans, it is very unlikely for you to know the genders through ultrasound before puppies are born. It is going to be a nice surprise for the Hooman and dog parents.
