A beautiful version of David Bowie’s song “Sweet Thing” was performed by Ava Cherry and recorded at the Sigma Studios on July 9th 1974. She was only seventeen at the time and later Bowie sang the song himself, which was released on the 1974 album Diamond Dogs. Working closely with Ava, this video was created. Without her suggestions, feedback and directions, it would never have turned out so beautifully.
The inspiration for this whole tribute stems from the romantic idea that is known as “Gesamtkunstwerk” or “Universal Artwork”. In this particular case photography, video, portraiture and music are used. This tribute has been created out of complete and abundant admiration for David Bowie and Ava Cherry and is for non-commercial and informational purposes with educational content in order to inspire people around the world.
