The division of Brain & Spine surgery was started in Moulana in the year 1992 by the leadership of Dr. Gnanadas, MS(Surg), MCH(NS), DNB(N.S), the pioneer surgeon in this field. The department carries out all major Brain & Spine surgeries including MicroLumbar Disectomy, Spinal stabilization, Microscopic removal of Spinal and Intradural tumours, Intra Cranial Tumours, Anuerism Clipping, Skull base surgeries in addition to all Neuro Trauma Surgeries. The department is well supported by emergency & trauma care team headed by two emergency consultants. State of the art dedicated Neuro Surgery operation theatre and 8 bed Neurosurgery ICU are the added facilities to this unit. The Neurosurgical results are par with best centres in the world.
