Roberts video #25. I show how I plan to connect the machine to a 220v electrical breaker without changing the plug on the cord. Before I plug it in, I decide to check out the stampings on the heating element to verify that the element is indeed 220v when I get a pleasant surprise! Sometimes it's good to double-check these things... (Check out the pictures toward the end.)

In the process, I discovered a date on the element of 9 82 or September 1982. It may not be the date when the machine left the factory, but it's an approximate date of manufacture. The original date was painted over when the underside of the base was painted in an attempt to contain rust. (Check out the picture at the end.)
