Mool Mantar, meaning “the root verse,” is the most important mantra in Sikhism. It is the first composition of Guru Nanak, the founder of the faith, and appears at the beginning of the Sikh scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib. Mool Mantar is a declaration of the unity of God and a guide to the Sikh way of life.
