I got this amazingly spalted piece of Maple in Oregon last week at my new favorite store in the world: C Jacob Woods in Tillamook, OR. They’re not sponsoring me or anything, but if you’re on the Pacific Coast, you should go check ‘em out.

Anyway, I got this great piece of spalted Maple and got it rounded into shape, but, as I expected, it was super punky. So, it went into some Cactus Juice stabilizing resin to soak and then into the oven to cook.

After that, it was straightforward, traditional turning techniques to get this absolutely stunning Maple bowl!
