750MC Rounds are always entertaining here and this was no different! Sadly some particularly Plumb Pudding-esque weather showed up and made lap times tumble as far as the 2 minute mark in some cases! The two big incidents of the day coming from the unluckiest man in Motorsport in 2024, Andy Philpotts, who I don't think has done more than 50ft of racing this year, being wiped out twice in earlier rounds before turn 1, and not even making it out of qualifying this time! The second being Mark Windley having a very scary crash in the ex Peter Bove Darvi. One that it was quite a relief to see him walk away from. Amazingly soft tire wall in the first half of Gerards, not so much about 3 quarters of the way round...

Classic Stock Hatch had to be decided between Pip Hammond and Stewart Place, with the former putting on one of the best opening laps at the 'track you can't overtake at' by going from 8th to 1st in 1 lap in race 2, and stealing 3rd in race 1 by 0.030s! But it wasn't enough to overcome the disadvantage of 8th on the grid in qualifying, thus making Stewart Place who played the game perfectly all day by keeping out of trouble, a two time champion.

750 Formula put on an unreal opening race which saw almost 10 cars trying to win the race before half of them broke, the other half crashed out, and Bill Cowley found his gears again and eventually retook the lead and would win both races.

The Ma7da Championship was a fairly similar story with a handful of cars giving up in race 1, with Ben Powney taking the win in that race with Craig Land coming back from a DNF in Race 1 to win the slick and greasy second race. Championship leader Martin West had a bit of a miserable day with a DNF and 9th!

Both Locost races were sadly hit by the miserable weather which robbed us of the usual slipstreaming madness around here. Lewis Ward won race 1 after a tough battle with Rob Apsey (2nd) and the worlds happiest man in 3rd Ian Hardy. Whilst Lewis Ward looked to be walking away with another win in race 2 before falling foul of conditions and sliding off into 2nd, allowing Lee Emm to win that one

Historic 750 Formula was the John Village show in race 1 before a red flag which bizarrely nearly caused 2 more accidents. But race 2 saw Gregan Thruston drive round the outside of John Village at Gerards to win race 2

And finally the Sports Specials opening race saw an impressive list of retirements with Paul Collingwood's car giving up almost immediately, Andy Hiley's car retiring whilst comfortably leading, leading to a battle between Anton Landon and Nigel Brown which saw the latter collide with Stuart Thompson. Landon would win with Brown 2nd and Jonathon Weston-Taylor 3rd. Andy Hiley would win race 2 by lapping everyone but 2nd placed Anton Landon with Weston-Taylor 3rd again, and Stuart Thompson would survive to take the championship
