We demonstrate how to convert interlaced video (29.97 fps, 720x480) to progressive video (59.94 fps, 1440x1080) using three difference software: Premiere Pro, Hybrid (QTGMC), and Topaz Video AI (Dione DV). We also show the results of the conversion side by side. Finally, we compared four resizers in Hybrid (NNEDI3, Sinc, Lanczos, Bicubic, and Bilinear).

__In case you don't want to watch the video: the winner is Hybrid (QTGMC with NNEDI1). TVAI results are very impressive but ultimately too unnatural looking and draw attention to themselves, but I hope Topaz engineers will eventually solve this by feeding their algorithm with HD footage and VHS versions to that it learns. Premiere Pro finished third, which is the nicest way I can put it.__
