Rod Claringbould’s traditional Wednesday Acoustica evenings have allowed me and other players of my ilk and vintage to experiment with new songs and instruments - like the brand-spanking new Eastman guitar I’m using here - and present an alternative version of ourselves to a dutifully attentive Acoustica audience.

Not every experiment works, of course, (although the combination of me and accordion-meister George Butrumlis shows promise, I think you’ll agree), but I remain steadfastly grateful to Rod and The Lomond Hotel for the opportunity and would urge the undecided mid-week punter to give it a crack in the same spirit.
