Episode 8 of my “Walk Around The San Francisco Bay” picks up on the morning of January 28, 2024 at Mile 7,771 on the Adobe Creek Trail in Palo Alto, California.

After deciding to pause the adventure until I return in April, I make sure to #LeaveNoTrace before I begin the 2 mile hike out of the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve to Edgewood Plaza. I am treated to amazing views all along the way.

At the plaza, I catch a lift to the transit station where I continue on public transportation to Ocean Beach in San Francisco.

After chasing the sunset to the beach, I enjoy a nice dinner with wine and watch the sun slip into the ocean.

Later that evening, I catch sight of cop lights flashing red and blue, hoping I’ll remain unnoticed as I fall asleep to the sounds of of the ocean waves crashing to the shore.

On January 29, at Mile 7,773, I wake to an awesome sunrise on the beach. I spend part of my day there before I head out to make my way downtown to my friend Robert’s, where I’ll prepare for my next set of adventures.
